3X3 STREET BASKETBALL RULES
Each team consists of a maximum of 4 players and a minimum of 3 players.
The match is won by the team that is first to reach 21 points, or by the team that is leading after 8 minutes of play. In the event of a draw at the end of the 8 minutes, the team that scores 2 points first wins the match.
The match is played with a single basket on one half of the court.
A basket scored from within the three-point area is worth 1 point, whilst a basket scored from outside the three-point area is worth 2 points. Substitutions may only be made during a dead ball situation, before the ball is touched, by requesting the referee’s intervention. Substitutes may only enter the court once their team-mate has left the court and made physical contact with the player coming on.
Possession of the ball always changes after a basket is scored.
Initially, possession is awarded to a team by a toss of a coin.
The ball is placed for the defending team directly beneath the basket. The ball must be dribbled or passed outside the three-point arc.
For every foul committed, 1 point is awarded to the opposing team.
