Sailing – CUSB exam preparation course – Bologna

⛵CUSB Coast Unlimited Sailing & Motor Licenses  

How the course is structured: 

  • Frontal theory lessons and total correspondence of 50/60 hours
  • This is followed by a series of trips to the sea for approximately 6 hours: in order to verify the degree of sailing knowledge and identify and test the maneuvers required during the exam in the practical test.

All teaching materials and correspondence tools are provided, as well as assistance with the preparation and submission of all the documentation required to sit the exam. Both the theory and practical parts of the exam will take place at the Port Authority of Porto Garibaldi (Ferrara) on weekdays as determined by the Harbour Master.

  • Period: to be defined

    ⚠️THE COURSE WILL GO AHEAD IF A MINIMUM OF EIGHT TO TEN PLACES ARE FILLED

  • Day and time: Theory lesson → held twice a week days to be confirmed ⌚ from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm
  • Fee:

    ➡️Includes:
    - 50 hours of theoretical lessons
    - 6 hours of practical outings in Marina di Ravenna
    - a comprehensive set of teaching materials and tools for correspondence
    - assistance with the preparation and submission of the application for ’access to examination
    - correspondence exercises
    ⚠️ Does not include:
    - Stamp costs, taxes, and any other costs relating to the requested documentation (expected in approximately 100.00 euros)
    - Expenditure on further practical outings which may be necessary, in addition to those provided for in the course programme and finally the use of the boat for the examination. Each exit at a cost of € 50 per person.

    - Enrolment fee → €140
    - Instalments:
    1st Before the Christmas holidays → €300
    2nd By the end of February 2026 → €300
    3rd Balance due before the exam, scheduled for around April or May 2027 → €300

    Non-Unibo: €1,300
    - Enrolment fee → €160
    - Instalments:
    1st: Before the suspension of classes for the Christmas holidays → €380
    2nd: By the end of February 2026 → €380
