2026 European University Championships: Women's Volleyball with a Perfect Record

Third match and third victory for the University of Bologna in women’s volleyball. We’re in Salerno, where the EUSA European University Championships are being held. And Unibo showed no mercy to Masaryk University, defeating them 3-0 (25-16; 25-19; 25-23). Tomorrow at 4 p.m., they’ll face Zagreb.

Camilla Ioli’s take: “It was a somewhat complicated match, but essential for finishing first in the group. It went well, but we could have done better. We’re happy to have advanced as group winners. And the team’s chemistry is growing.”

Erika Bendoni echoed that sentiment. “We had a strong start. A clean 3-0 win, topping the group. We played well and stayed united, despite some tough moments. We need to focus on the next match and keep improving.”

Final thoughts from Dalila Modestino, Unibo’s team manager for the women’s volleyball program. “Today’s match wasn’t one to be underestimated, and the result wasn’t a given. We gave everyone playing time to let the starters catch their breath. We’re through to the quarterfinals as group winners. Now Zagreb awaits us. We know it will be a tough match, but we can’t wait to face them.”
