EUSA European University Championships in Salerno: CUS Bologna’s women’s volleyball team makes its debut

The EUSA European University Championships are getting underway in Salerno. Today sees the arrival in Campania of the University of Bologna’s basketball teams, the first training sessions for the table tennis squad and, at 6.30 pm, the debut of the women’s volleyball team, which is determined to return to the podium following last season’s setback. The Unibo women’s volleyball team remains under the guidance of Leonardo Palladino, who has previously led the squad to four European titles. They make their debut today against Oslo at 6.30 pm. Then, on Sunday at 12 noon, they face the Turkish side from Yasar University. The group stage concludes on Monday against the Czech team from Masaryk University, again at 12 noon.

The CUS Bologna volleyball team comprises Erika Bendoni, middle blocker (Environmental Sciences), Sofia Cangini, outside hitter (Engineering), Sofia Ceroni, opposite (Engineering), Sara Fontemaggi, outside hitter (Law), Giulia Galletti, setter (Law), Arianna Gambini, libero (Engineering), Camilla Ioli, libero (Political Science), Chiara Marinucci, middle blocker (Sports Science), Lucia Mercolini, setter (Medicine), Sofia Migliorini, middle blocker (Design), Tea Reggiani, middle blocker (Economics), Chiara Tarantino, outside hitter (Engineering), Alice Trampus, outside hitter (Communication Studies).
