Lots of meat on the fire for CUS Bologna and the world of university swimming. Let's start with San Marino hosting the 19th edition of the master trophy. Thanks to 8,247 points, the team led by Felice Pellegrino finished in twenty-ninth place.
Among the protagonists is Giorgia Dal Maistro, competing in the Masters 20 category, winning silver in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 100m freestyle. Excellent performance for Sara Cardinali, second in the 100m backstroke Master 25 and protagonist in the 50m backstroke with fourth place. Bronze for Giada Pipitone in the 50m breaststroke Masters 20, while Carlotta Fusi stood out with a silver in the 100m medley and a bronze in the 50m butterfly. On the men's front, important placings for Lorenzo Ceppari and Gabriele Riccardini, protagonists in the fast freestyle and breaststroke events.
Laura Guiggiani, competing in backstroke and freestyle, also performed well, as did the relays, where CUS Bologna took a prestigious second place in the women's 4x50 medley with Sara Cardinali, Giorgia Dal Maistro, Giada Pipitone, and Laura Guiggiani. The 4x50 medley relay team performed well, finishing sixth. The results obtained in San Marino confirm the growth of the Masters sector of CUS Bologna.
But equally important news is coming from the pinnato with Christian Degli Esposti, a Unibo student who is also included in the Dual Career program. Christian has been called up for the World Indoor Championships in South Korea from June 22 to 29. The world championship is scheduled for Incheon Metropolitan City.
