Damiano Palleschi, born in 2008, called up to the CMAS World Youth Indoor Finswimming Championship in Chios, Greece, won his first medal on his debut as an Italian in the 4x100 mono relay together with Guerrini, Vignoli and Cianciulli. It's a bronze medal, but of great value for Damiano and the whole team. Italy placed seventh in the general classification with four silver and four bronze medals. And one of these bears Damiano's signature.
Christian Degli Esposti, born in 2005, returns from the absolute European indoor finswimming championship in Olsztyn, Poland, on his fifth call-up to the national team, with some regrets for having only come close to the podium in the 100 mono, in the 4x200 relay and in the 4x50, again monofin, however, signing in the latter specialty, together with his teammates Biancalana, Spelta and Pietralunga, the new Italian record in the time of 1'04"14.
A wonderful new experience for Christian who is already ready to try again! Italy ends its efforts in sixth position, thanks to a medal table that speaks of one gold, three silvers and four bronzes.
