CUS Bologna successfully opens the European University Women's Volleyball Championship in Budapest

The first was good, for CUS Bologna who, reigning champions - the Eusa European university championship in women's volleyball - started off on the right foot in Budapest (Hungary), beating the Estonians of the University of Tartu 3-0. Tomorrow, at 11:30, the confrontation with the Dutch from Wageningen University. On Wednesday, however, again at 12.30, the challenge with the hosts of Corvinus University in Budapest. The coach Leonardo Palladino was satisfied - 25-16, 25-19, 25-18 the three partials - asking for something more in the future. “First game - says Leo - , we had to break the ice. It took us a while’, even though we started off strong. But you could tell we had the handbrake on. In the second partial some difficulty was still seen in resuming certain habits. In the third set we disbanded. They all played. And they all understood that there will be room for everyone, even if something needs to be improved. But the potential is there”.

Then it's the captain's turn, Giulia Galletti. “Well, we're happy. Always positive to start off on the right foot. But the level is high, we know that we must use the qualifying round to iron out the errors and be ready when it counts”. Also because after four consecutive victories, the CUS Bologna girls aim to confirm themselves at a high level.
