It’s impossible to do better than last year. But CUS Bologna, true to its history and tradition, will, as always, give it their all.
Why is it impossible to improve on the 2025 edition of the National University Championships organised by FederCUSI? Simple: because a year ago, in addition to its many successes (as is tradition), Alma Mater Studiorum even finished top of the overall medal table. That is why it is impossible to do better than the record set twelve months ago. But President Margherita Mezzetti’s team will do everything possible to retain their position at the top of the Italian CUS rankings. On 23–24 May, CUS Bologna will take centre stage in judo in Vercelli. And again in Vercelli, but on Saturday 23, it’s time for wrestling. Over the weekend, moving on to Novara, fencing takes centre stage. Then, in quick succession, all the other events where students from the Alma Mater Studiorum will be in the spotlight: table tennis (Novara, 24–25 May), tennis (Vercelli, 25 May); clay pigeon shooting (Cigliano, in the Vercelli area, 26 May); rugby (27–28 May); taekwondo and karate (Alessandria, 30–31 May); athletics (Novara, 30–31 May).
