Athletics

The athletics of CUS Bologna has always been a harbinger of champions, satisfactions and victories: from the first Italian title in '52 with Celso Mongardi (engineering student) to the present day with Ester Balassini, a graduate in Educational Sciences who took part in two editions of the Olympic Games (Sydney and Athens), and is still the Italian record holder in hammer throwing. Today the section is made up of a large "nursery" of young talents who are trying to establish themselves on the national scene and who are contributing significantly to the team of the absolute category, which is ready for a generational change.
