Sabar dance - Traditional Senegalese

Sabar is a traditional Senegalese dance. Sabar is the name of the dance and, at the same time, the name of the percussive music that accompanies it. In the Sabar there are different rhythms, therefore dances. Flaminia Vendruscolo is a dancer, teacher and researcher in the field of dance and voice. He met the Sabar through the guide of Yama Wade, after several years of research and practice of African and contemporary dance, studying in Europe, Mali and Senegal. Sabar is a language. Like any language, it asks us to speak, communicate. And at the source of every word, like every movement, there is breath. These meetings will be an introduction to Sabar, we will give ourselves the opportunity to learn the basics of this powerful alphabet, in order to be able to express and communicate, in presence, in dance as a necessary action.
